The Student Resource Scheme (SRS) provides parents with a convenient and cost-effective way to obtain and access educational resources that their child needs for school. These resources supplement the school's resources and enhance students' learning experience at school. At Rangeville State School there are the following SRSs for the Instrumental Music Program.
The cost to participate in the Instrumental Music Program SRS for 2024 is $50. Please complete the online Student Resource Scheme form through QParents or complete a paper copy available from the office. This SRS covers materials that the parent is not required to purchase, for example ensemble music. All Instrumental Music students participate in ensembles. Each piece of ensemble music costs anywhere between $60 and $120 with students learning four or more pieces each year. If you do not wish to participate in the Student Resource Scheme it is your responsibility to supply the resources required by your child. A detailed list of these resources will be supplied to you if you choose not to participate in the SRS for the Instrumental Music Program.
If your child requires the hire of a musical instrument from Rangeville State School you will be required to complete an EQ11 form, along with the online SRS 2024 Instrument Hire form through QParents or complete a paper copy available from the office. The cost to participate in the Instrument Hire SRS for 2024 is $120. Minor servicing for most instruments ranges between $90 and $220 each year depending on the instrument. Participation in the SRS together with school funding allows us to provide quality instruments to your child. If you do not wish to participate in the Student Resource Scheme it is your responsibility to supply your child with an appropriate instrument and maintain the instrument in good working order.
